The Right Question Project: Advocacy Tools

Two One-Half Day Trainings: One in English, One in Spanish

WorkshopsThe Right Question Project (RQP) technique was developed by The Right Question Project in Cambridge, Massachusetts. RQP is dedicated to making democracy work. It sees itself as a catalyst for "micro-democracy," building upon a belief in people's ability to think and act for themselves. CCP is proud to present the RQP technique, continuing a partnership with the Right Question Project begun in 1999.

The RQP technique has been used by parents to better advocate for their children, workers to create their own economic development plans, and by community members to advocate for better housing and health care. Internationally, activists in South Africa and Eastern Europe have used the technique to strengthen democracy in their countries.

This workshop will introduce and teach participants how to formulate questions as a basis for advocacy work in their community. The workshop is participatory and highly interactive.

Workshop Highlights:

  • RQP: Parent Advocacy Roles
  • Support, Monitor and Advocate
  • RQP: Advocating at School
  • "School Placement" Module
  • RQP: Advocating in the Community
