Leadership in a Multicultural Society: Creating Space for Change

Next Date to be announced soon.
Sacramento, CA

Our communities require leaders who embrace multiculturalism in order to create positive social change. These leaders reflect on their own experience and welcome the opportunity to share their insights. Join us for a two-day journey to reflect, vision, and recommit as leaders in today's rapidly changing world.

Take time to join with leaders from diverse communities as we reflect on our roles as agents of change.

  • Actively participate in story circles designed to surface leadership lessons.
  • Creatively express leadership vision and style.
  • Willingly engage in authentic dialogue.
  • Comfortably connect with new friends and peers.

STORI Leadership Circle
Leadership Retreat participants will have an opportunity to use the STORI Leadership Circle (Story Telling for Observational, Reflective, Insightful Leadership) as one method for leadership assessment, learning and development. The Circle will be used throughout the workshop as we examine our leadership "self" and use our learning and experiences to add to our leadership growth continuum.

The STORI Leadership Circle is based on the premise that life itself is a story. Throughout each individual's life have come lessons and teachings, some for following, some for walking alongside, and some for leading. Through the retelling of our stories and observing and reflecting in an insightful way, wisdom is revealed. The STORI Circle is used to honor the traditional way in which many leaders were developed, but at the same time to "bring to life" the lessons that contain the qualities for effective leadership.
