Show, Don’t Tell:
Popular Education Strategies

Workshops Popular Education respects the experiences of participants and builds on these experiences to promote learning. It is education focused on demystifying systems and inspiring people to determine a course of action. Popular education is a vehicle for the disenfranchised; it helps people to discover their voices and to recognize their potential to promote social justice.

Participants will build on their own skills, interests, and gifts in a fun and creative atmosphere. We will learn more about popular education, practice using different methods, explore important topics, and engage in the process of understanding, practicing, learning, and acting.

Through interactive work, you will have fun learning and putting what you have learned into action. You will be empowered and you will be able and inspired to empower others.

Agenda Highlights:

  • Popular Education Fundamentals
  • Learning Styles and Experiences
  • Planning
  • Large Group Discussion
